Join Us to Commemorate Remembrance Sunday
Derby's residents are invited to take part in this year's Remembrance Sunday ceremonies on Sunday, 9 November 2025, to honor the sacrifices of the armed forces and emergency services.
Annual Parade and Service
The city's Remembrance Sunday parade and service return this November, uniting youth groups, veteran organizations, and the community to pay tribute.
Event Details
- At 10:45 a.m., veterans and youth groups will parade through the city center to the Market Place, accompanied by the Salvation Army Band.
- A short service will begin at 10:55 a.m., led by the Lord Bishop of Derby and assisted by the Very Rev'd Dr Peter Robinson, Dean of Derby.
- A two-minute silence will be observed during the service.
- Wreaths will be laid at the War Memorial by civic dignitaries and local organization representatives.
Additional Information
The Order of Service can be downloaded, and the event will be streamed on a large screen in the Market Place.
Unlike recent years, troops from the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers 148 Divisional Support Company will not parade, but several local youth and veteran organizations will participate as usual.
