Several postcodes across Hampshire celebrated wins in the People’s Postcode Lottery during October 2025, including those from Southampton. Streets across the county shared thousands of pounds after their numbers appeared in the monthly draw.
The People’s Postcode Lottery is a subscription-based lottery that supports charities across the UK while awarding cash prizes to participants. Daily draws from Monday to Sunday reward 20 postcodes with £1,000 each. On Saturdays, the “Millionaire Street” draw gives players the chance to share a £1 million prize.
“Every month players in a postcode sector share £3.2 million or more. In this example, £1.6 million will be divided equally among tickets with the winning postcode, while the remaining £1.6 million goes to those playing within the winning postcode sector.”
“On the rare occasion where there are not enough winning tickets in the postcode sector, the area may be expanded to the postcode district.”
At least 33% of every ticket sold contributes directly to charitable projects. Since its inception in 2005, the lottery has raised more than £1.3 billion for over 9,000 charities and community causes.
The local winners were drawn throughout October, with several Hampshire postcodes taking home prizes for their participating residents.
