The Boston Bruins enter Thursday night’s game riding a four-game winning streak, the first time this season they have achieved such momentum. After enduring a tough stretch with six consecutive losses and seven defeats in eight games, Boston has bounced back, now sitting above .500 following a shootout victory over the Islanders on Tuesday.
“It shows the character in our room,” coach Marco Sturm remarked after the Bruins overcame three separate one-goal deficits. “We made some mistakes, but I’m glad we came back and won the game.”
Boston will host the Ottawa Senators, facing off against former Bruin and 2023 Vezina Trophy winner Linus Ullmark.
Ottawa’s captain, Brady Tkachuk, missed the first meeting against Boston and is expected to remain sidelined for about six more weeks following surgery to repair a torn thumb ligament.
Boston’s recent turnaround highlights their resilience as they aim to extend their winning streak against the Senators.
