Fairphone Expands to US Market

The company’s focus includes repairable and occasionally upgradeable hardware. Although some Fairphone models were available in the US through the /e/ Foundation with a de-Googled Android version called /e/OS, they carried higher prices.

Fairphone CEO Raymond van Eck recently revealed to Reuters that the company is now entering the US market with its first product there—not a phone, but a pair of repairable headphones. This move might pave the way for future sales of sustainable smartphones directly to US customers.

Fairphone is bringing its repairable headphones to the US. Up until now the company, which focuses on ethically-sourced & sustainable devices, has only sold its phones & accessories in Europe… although Murena does resell some.
