PlayStation has launched full Cloud Streaming support for PS5 games on the PlayStation Portal. Starting November 5 at 6 PM PT (November 6 at 2 AM GMT), PlayStation Plus Premium members can stream select PS5 titles directly from the cloud.
Since its debut in November 2023, the PlayStation Portal remote player has steadily evolved with better public Wi-Fi support and user experience enhancements. The device continues to grow as a portable gateway to console-quality gaming.
PlayStation initially introduced Cloud Streaming in a beta phase, giving Premium members access to a curated list of PS5 games from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Classics Catalog — all without the need for a physical PS5 via Remote Play.
With today’s update, Premium members can now stream digital PS5 games from their own libraries. The feature dramatically broadens access to high-quality titles across devices with a stable connection.
“At PlayStation, we’re always working to push the boundaries of how players experience games.”
Thousands of PS5 games are available for cloud streaming at launch, expanding flexibility for players who want console performance without local hardware limits.
Author’s Summary: Cloud Streaming arrives on PlayStation Portal, giving PlayStation Plus Premium members instant access to digital PS5 titles through the cloud, expanding next-gen gaming beyond the console.
