The University of Toronto community will come together on November 11 to observe Remembrance Day, marking the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. Events across all three campuses will honor soldiers and veterans from the First and Second World Wars, as well as other conflicts. All members of the U of T community are invited to participate.
Flags at U of T's three campuses will be lowered to half-mast to pay tribute to those who have served, including U of T students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
The Service of Remembrance will be held at Soldiers’ Tower. The program begins at 10:10 a.m. with a carillon recital by composer and performer Naoko Tsujita, followed by the official ceremony at 10:30 a.m.

The ceremonies at U of T Scarborough and U of T Mississauga will also feature events that honor veterans and remind the community of the sacrifices made in times of war.
