Patti Smith appeared this week on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, reflecting on her influential 1975 album Horses and discussing her new memoir Bread of Angels, her early life, and creative journey.
On Thursday night, Smith performed “Peaceable Kingdom” from her 2004 album Trampin’ with longtime collaborator Tony Shanahan.
In 2022, Consequence ranked Horses as the 17th greatest album of all time. To mark its 50th anniversary, Smith is embarking on a North American tour beginning November 10 in Seattle.
