On Wednesday, October 29th, the Martin Scorsese Virtual Production Center hosted a special event to celebrate a new café partnership with the Italian coffee brand Lavazza. The event brought together program alumni, current students, and invited guests at Industry City.

Tisch Dean's Council member Martin Scorsese ’64, ’68, Hon. ’92 attended alongside his daughter Francesca Scorsese ’23, a recent alumna of the Kanbar Institute (Film & TV, BFA). Both participated in the kickoff activation of the café within the Center.

“Coffee shops were vital to my adolescence and career, serving as spaces for genuine artistic collaboration and creativity,” said Martin Scorsese during the event.

Francesca Scorsese shared a heartfelt moment with her father at the new café, which she later posted on her Instagram.

The partnership highlights the role of coffee culture as a place where creative minds can connect and inspire each other.
