Remembrance Day Parades 2025: Bus Service Changes on Sunday 9 November

Temporary route changes will affect some bus services across the county on Remembrance Sunday, 9th November 2025. The known parades NCT has been informed about are listed below, though other brief interruptions may occur.

Remembrance Silence Observance

At 11:00 am on Sunday 9th and Tuesday 11th November, bus drivers will observe the two-minute silence. Where it is safe, they will park their buses, turn off engines, and invite passengers to join in the national remembrance.

Free Travel for Serving Personnel

NCT offers free travel from 8th to 11th November 2025 inclusive for all serving personnel, cadets, and veterans. To qualify, passengers should either present appropriate ID or travel in uniform when boarding.

Road Closures and Service Diversions on Sunday 9th November

Calverton Parade Impact

On Sunday 9th November, the Sky Blue 61 service will be affected between 09:00 and 12:00 due to a local parade. The following stops will be skipped:

East Leake Road Closure

Main Street in East Leake will be closed on Sunday 9th November from 10:30 to 11:45. During this time, the South Notts 1 service will be diverted via Main Street, Castle Hill, and Loughborough Road.
