Television host Ant McPartlin, one half of the presenting duo Ant and Dec from "I'm A Celebrity," has decided to leave his £6 million Wimbledon home following a prolonged conflict with neighbours over tree removal and renovations.
McPartlin and his wife Anne-Marie had lived in the property since 2019, investing heavily in extensive refurbishments. The lavish home features seven bedrooms, five reception rooms, a cinema, sun room, walk-in wardrobe, study, and office. It also includes a spacious kitchen and Victorian-inspired changing rooms adjoining the pool area.
In early 2024, the couple sought permission to remove several trees — including four cypresses, a pine, and a yew — as part of new landscaping plans. Despite the trees being protected under a Tree Preservation Order, the request was ultimately approved.
"No justification is given for felling these substantial trees, other than the applicant's wish to allow re-landscaping of part of their garden."
This decision angered local residents, who submitted objection letters criticizing the tree removal and questioning the couple's environmental considerations. Sources say that after escalating tensions, the presenters chose to move out of the home they had lived in for six years.
After a heated conflict with neighbours over protected trees, Ant McPartlin and his wife left their luxury Wimbledon home, ending six years of residence and major renovations.
