Donald Trump Jr., the President's eldest son, has accused the BBC and its journalists of being "dishonest" following reports that the UK network altered a speech given by his father about the January 6 Capitol events.
Trump Jr. took to social media to condemn the "fake news" network after a whistleblower's memo revealed alleged manipulation of the president’s speech during a protest march. He posted a link to the whistleblower report with the caption:
"The FAKE NEWS 'reporters' in the UK are just as dishonest and full of s--- as the ones here in America!!!!"
The whistleblower's memo alleges that the BBC "doctored" a video of the President addressing his supporters challenging the 2020 election results in Washington, D.C. Specifically, the memo claims the BBC aired the footage on its program Panorama a week before the U.S. election, presenting a misleading version of Trump's words.
This footage was part of a 19-page dossier accusing the BBC of bias, compiled by a member of the network's standards committee.
Donald Trump Jr. strongly accuses the BBC of dishonesty for allegedly altering his father's January 6 speech to misrepresent his intentions during the Capitol rally.
