Stephen Curry scored 24 points for the Golden State Warriors, but the team fell 114–109 to the Indiana Pacers on Saturday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Warriors led 88–82 heading into the final quarter but couldn’t hold off the Pacers, who capitalized on late mistakes.
“There are parts of the game where we just made it too hard on all of us with not getting organized, bad possessions, a little lack of energy. And you give a team like that life,”
Curry admitted the team lost rhythm in key moments, especially during the third quarter when turnovers shifted the game’s momentum.
“I got to be better just being more decisive, more aggressive, even not to shoot, but to play make and get everybody organized,”
He emphasized the need for sharper decisions and leadership when closing out competitive games.
“Just be professional, understand what you need to do to get your body, your mind ready to bring your best self…you have to demonstrate that, execute it,”
Curry pointed to preparation and mental readiness as essential factors in maintaining consistency throughout the season.
“There were a couple possessions, turnovers in the third quarter…you give them a fast break layup. It changes the momentum,”
He acknowledged that costly turnovers and poor transition defense allowed the Pacers to take control late in the game.
The Warriors’ loss to the Pacers underscored Curry’s focus on leadership, smarter play, and consistent preparation to avoid repeat mistakes on the road.
