Sheep Esports presents expert insights and the latest updates on League of Legends Esports. Following a tradition after each split or major event, Romain Bigeard, General Manager of G2 Esports in the LEC, shared in-depth scrim statistics from Worlds 2025.
From October 3rd until their quarterfinal exit on October 30th against Top Esports, G2 completed an intense scrim schedule, playing a total of 129 games across 35 scrim blocks. Their overall scrim win rate reached 54.2%, with 70 victories and 59 defeats.
Scrim results reveal which regions G2 felt confident competing against and which posed challenges:
"The best-of-one win over BiliBili Gaming in Round 2 is almost G2’s only victory against the LPL, while Invictus Gaming handed them their heaviest defeat in a single scrim block at the very start of their campaign (1–6)."
"By contrast, they’ve performed very well in practice against South Korea. Hanwha Life Esports were the only team in the tournament that G2 didn’t scrim even once."
G2 Esports demonstrated solid scrim performance during Worlds 2025, excelling mostly against Korean teams while finding LTA and LPL opponents more challenging.
Author's summary: G2’s Worlds 2025 scrims show solid overall performance with notable struggles against LTA and LPL regions but strength in practice against South Korean teams.
