Mark Richt, the former Georgia coach and current ACC Network analyst, addressed false reports circulating online about his health. Despite rumors claiming he is hospitalized, Richt confirmed he is not.
“Apparently, there’s something out there on the Internet saying that I’m in the hospital,” Richt posted on X. “Lol.”
He humorously added that seeing him running down the street might have given a mistaken impression of his condition.
In 2021, Richt openly shared that he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. He explained this was the reason for his recent changes in movement.
“I have been waddling around lately and people have asked me what’s wrong,” he wrote. “I’ve decided to tell everyone at the same time. I have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Truthfully I look at it as a momentary light affliction compared to the future glory in heaven. Thank you Jesus for promising us a future blessing of a glorified body that has no sin and no disease.”
He remains positive and intends to continue enjoying life and working on the ACC Network.
Despite health challenges, Richt remains active in football analysis and maintains a hopeful outlook.
