The Georgia Bulldogs football family came together to support former coach Mark Richt’s battle against Parkinson’s disease. Current players and legendary alumni joined forces in the annual Dawg Bowl event held on Wednesday.
The Dawg Bowl was a bowling fundraiser benefiting the Isakson Center for Neurological Disease Research. Proceeds from the event will go toward research on Parkinson’s and Crohn’s diseases.
Mark Richt was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2021. His organization hosted the event to raise both funds and awareness for this condition.
“Every one of the guys I asked said yes,” Richt told DawgsHQ, expressing deep gratitude for the strong support.
Former All-American David Pollack was among the alumni present, underlining the lasting bonds within the Bulldog community. Former running back Tyson Browning praised the event’s role in fostering involvement among veteran players.
He emphasized the importance of older players feeling connected to the program.
