The second issue of Star Wars: Boba Fett: Black, White and Red is now available. It takes us to Meddan, a new planet in the Star Wars universe, bustling with shady characters and underworld activities, reminiscent of Coruscant or Nar Shaddaa.
Boba Fett remains one of the galaxy’s most relentless bounty hunters. Nothing stops him from completing his mission—not credits, rival conflicts, or even other hunters. His target this time is Samu Mavolak, a Zeltron known for his red skin and notorious for being incredibly elusive.
Having owed money to nearly everyone he meets, Samu honed his ability to escape capture, even managing to outsmart Boba Fett temporarily until his clever deception was uncovered.
Boba Fett might be incredibly dangerous, but he’s not a monster.
In a rare glimpse of humanity, Boba Fett shows compassion for his prey. This nuance briefly made the story feel more like one about Din Djarin than the usual relentless bounty hunter tale we've seen before. However, aside from this, the narrative remains typical of bounty hunting stories.
This issue presents a familiar bounty hunter story with a slight humanizing twist, but overall feels like a filler in the series.
