Mike Smith, the Canadian actor renowned for his role as Bubbles in the comedy series Trailer Park Boys, has been formally charged with sexual assault in Nova Scotia.
The charge was filed on October 2 in Nova Scotia provincial court, related to an alleged incident that took place in Dartmouth on December 30, 2017.
Smith faces legal restrictions prohibiting any contact with the alleged victim or approaching their home, workplace, or school.
“We recognize how difficult an allegation of this nature is for all involved. Out of respect for the legal process, we will not comment further on the case.”
Trailer Park Boys Inc., the company behind the show, confirmed Smith has stepped down from his role as managing director during the ongoing legal proceedings.
