According to CBC News, court documents reveal that Smith, 53, was charged on October 2 in connection with an alleged incident from December 2017 in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. The court has prohibited Smith from contacting the victim, whose identity remains undisclosed due to a publication ban.

“We are aware of the allegation concerning Mike Smith dating back to 2017 and take such matters seriously,” said Trailer Park Boys Inc. “We recognize how difficult an allegation of this nature is for all involved. Out of respect for the legal process, we will not comment further on the case.”
