The Vancouver Canucks have ended their relationship with 25-year-old Russian winger Vitali Kravtsov. General manager Patrik Allvin announced on Tuesday that Kravtsov was placed on unconditional waivers to facilitate the termination of his contract.
Kravtsov arrived at the Canucks' training camp in Penticton, B.C., but was assigned to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Abbotsford Canucks. During his time there, he scored one goal and added three assists in 10 games.
The Canucks acquired Kravtsov from the New York Rangers in February 2023. However, he spent the majority of the last two seasons playing for Traktor Chelyabinsk in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).
