Arc Raiders, the new multiplayer extraction shooter from Embark Studios, achieved strong sales with an estimated 1.6 million copies sold during the first three days after its launch. The game reached a peak concurrent player count of 354,836 just one day after release.
According to Steam analytics site Gamalytic, Arc Raiders generated approximately US$61.1 million in revenue from these sales. This figure reflects only PC sales, with total sales expected to be higher once console copies are counted.
Despite the successful launch, the weekend was marked by technical difficulties. As player numbers surged above 300,000 concurrently, matchmaking and login problems emerged, causing server outages lasting several hours. Embark Studios quickly implemented fixes to resolve these issues.
“Scrappy must’ve pecked a few wires loose,” the developers joked on X while acknowledging that the servers “had a wobble” on Sunday. They announced a gesture of goodwill:
“As a token of our thanks, we’re sending 500 Raider Tokens to all Raiders who logged in on Sunday (2 November).”
Embark Studios awarded 500 Raider Tokens to players who logged in during the launch weekend as both a thank-you and an apology for the disruptions.
Arc Raiders made an impressive market entrance, selling millions despite initial server challenges, with Embark Studios offering players compensation to maintain goodwill.
