Jetstar Restarts Adelaide to Melbourne Avalon Route with $29 Flights

Jetstar is expanding its Adelaide network by resuming flights to Melbourne Avalon Airport, offering promotional fares starting at $29. The airline will restart this service from 26 March 2026, enhancing travel options for South Australians heading to Victoria.

The low-cost carrier will operate up to seven weekly return flights, providing about 109,000 new low-fare seats annually. This route reconnects South Australia with Victoria’s Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula, and Geelong, which Jetstar’s Airbus A320 aircraft will serve.

To mark the relaunch, Jetstar is offering one-way sale fares from $29, available from 11:30am (ACDT) today. These limited-time prices echo the airline’s launch fares from over 20 years ago and are expected to sell out quickly.

“These new flights to Melbourne Avalon Airport provide South Australians with greater opportunities to take advantage of our low fares and are part of a significant increase in flights in and out of Adelaide this year,” said Jetstar CEO Stephanie Tully.

“It’s now easier and more affordable than ever to access Victoria’s popular Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula wine region, Geelong and Melbourne.”

Flight Details and Benefits

This restoration of the route, paused before the pandemic, gives travelers an affordable and accessible way to explore Victoria’s attractions from Adelaide.

Summary: Jetstar is reviving its Adelaide to Melbourne Avalon flights with attractive fares and increased frequency, broadening affordable travel options for South Australians.
