Jetstar has announced its largest-ever expansion from Melbourne Avalon Airport, introducing new international flights to Bali and resuming services to Adelaide. The airline will also add more flights to Brisbane, opening over 330,000 additional low-fare seats each year.
This growth strengthens Avalon Airport as Melbourne’s second major gateway, improving travel options for residents and boosting tourism to support Victoria’s economy.
The new Bali route will be Jetstar’s first-ever international service from Melbourne Avalon, marking a significant milestone for the carrier and the region.
“Starting on 23 March 2026, Jetstar will operate five return flights a week between Melbourne Avalon and Bali (Denpasar), aboard Jetstar’s modern Airbus A321LR aircraft.”
With flight times of just over six hours, the route provides a convenient getaway for travelers from Melbourne, Geelong, the Surf Coast, and Bellarine Peninsula to experience Bali’s beaches and culture.
To celebrate the expansion, Jetstar launched a 48-hour sale from midday today, offering domestic fares from $29 and fares to Bali from $199.
