Big Brother is Watching Again, and Ten Has NRL Rights in Sight
Paramount Australia held its 2026 upfront event at the Big Brother house on the Gold Coast, making the show’s return to its original network a central theme of the presentation by Paramount and Ten — even though Big Brother is technically part of the network’s 2025 lineup.
The revival will feature live nominations, live evictions, and 24/7 live-streaming from the original Dreamworld site, despite the original house having burned down in 2019. This marks a return to the classic, freewheeling Big Brother experience — hopefully with fewer turkey slaps.

Gretel Killeen, the original Big Brother host, is returning to Ten, but she will not be involved with Big Brother. Instead, she will host the new season of The Traitors.
This is the third season of The Traitors, but it’s essentially a complete refresh, inspired by the format’s massive success in the UK. Rodger Corser hosted the first two seasons in 2022 and 2023, but the show did not attract much audience interest.
