Detroit Pistons star Cade Cunningham is quickly showing why he was chosen first overall in the draft. NBA legend Steve Nash highlighted Cunningham’s exceptional passing as a key factor in his emergence.
Cade Cunningham is currently averaging 25.6 points, 9.7 assists, and 4.8 rebounds over nine games. His strong performances have helped Detroit start the season with a 7-2 record, leading the Eastern Conference.
“I actually want to give a nod to Cade’s passing. You know, we always knew he’s a playmaker, he can make plays for others, of course, makes his teammates better, but I feel like he’s even taken another step.”
“Just in general, he’s making early passes, late passes, short passes, the long pass ahead. He’s making the corner pass over the top. He’s kind of gotten every pass in his bag now, and it’s really impressive to watch him have command, and you can’t speed him up with his size.”
Cunningham’s improved playmaking and leadership have been critical in Detroit’s strong start this season.
