Emmy Award winner Samira Wiley and Hamilton alum Jin Ha have joined the cast of David Auburn’s Pulitzer and Tony-winning drama Proof, completing the lineup that also features Ayo Edebiri and Don Cheadle.
The revival, directed by Thomas Kail, will play at the Booth Theatre for a limited 16-week run starting March 31, with an official opening night on April 16.
All cast members except Ha will make their Broadway debuts in this production.
Wiley is acclaimed for her television work in The Handmaid’s Tale (which earned her an Emmy) and Orange Is the New Black (SAG Award). Her stage credits include Intimate Apparel and Blues for an Alabama Sky in London, and Daphne’s Dive off Broadway.
Ha’s stage career includes Hamilton and Here We Are, along with television appearances in Pachinko.
"Proof follows the daughter of a genius math professor who discovers a groundbreaking proof after his death, only to face doubt about whether it was truly his work or hers."
The new staging marks the first revival of Auburn’s acclaimed drama, which originally premiered in 2000 and went on to win both the Tony Award and the Pulitzer Prize.
Samira Wiley and Jin Ha join Ayo Edebiri and Don Cheadle for a fresh 16-week Broadway revival of David Auburn’s classic play Proof, exploring genius, grief, and the search for truth.
