Elliot Page describes Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film The Odyssey as "epic and extraordinary." Having previously worked with Nolan on the 2010 film Inception, Page has experienced a unique evolution both personally and professionally since then.
Page, who came out as a trans man in 2020, shared how returning to work with Nolan has been more fulfilling now that he feels more comfortable in his identity.
“I was so excited to be thought of for it and to be asked to come back to work with him. I loved working with him on Inception and loved being a part of that movie. I was just completely jazzed and excited. I basically went and met with Chris and talked about the part and then sat in a room and read the script, and you know, it was of course a big 'Yes.'”
“Sadly, I can’t say much. But it was such a joy to come back, and to come back now, as you can imagine, being more comfortable in yourself makes these sorts of projects more enjoyable, just waking up every day and going to work. To kind of get to have a more Chris Nolan experience again now, that actually really meant so much to me.”
Page also hinted at exciting locations for the film and expressed confidence in its extraordinary nature.
“I got to go to some pretty awesome places. It’s going to be extraordinary.”
The Odyssey is scheduled for release on July 17, 2026.
