Entergy’s Executive Vice President and General Counsel Marcus Brown to Retire in Spring 2026

Entergy announced that Marcus Brown, executive vice president and general counsel, will retire in Spring 2026. Starting December 1, Brown will become Executive Legal Advisor to Entergy’s Chair and CEO, Drew Marsh.

Leadership Transition

Brown’s duties will be divided between two senior executives reporting directly to Marsh:

Dan Falstad, current vice president, deputy general counsel, and corporate secretary, will take over Brown’s general counsel responsibilities as senior vice president and general counsel. Falstad will also oversee the ethics and compliance organization and continue serving as corporate secretary, acting as a liaison between the board, management, and shareholders. He is also president of the New Orleans Ballet Theatre board.
John Hudson, senior vice president, chief external affairs officer, and president of the Entergy Charitable Foundation, will report directly to Marsh and assume leadership of the chief security officer team formerly overseen by Brown.

Contributions and Affiliations

Brown led the Power of Prosperity program, a decade-long $20 million pledge to support students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities. He also serves on the boards of Tulane University and Energy Insurance Mutual.
