In an interview with co-star Benicio del Toro, Leonardo DiCaprio shared his top Christopher Nolan movie, which surprisingly was not one starring him in the lead role.
Many fans expected him to pick a film in which he starred, but DiCaprio explained his preference for Nolan’s crime movie The Dark Knight.
"Both stars named The Dark Knight as their favorite Nolan film. The director used the Batman franchise to explore ethical questions about chaos and order. He told the tale of what a hero means in a troubled city."
DiCaprio highlighted how The Dark Knight stands out in Nolan’s filmography, opting for it over more popular titles like Inception. His selection comes after he advised actor Timothée Chalamet to steer clear of superhero movies, citing studio demands that can compromise artistic integrity.
He stated:
"No hard drugs and no superhero movies."This suggests he prefers avoiding such roles, although he feels differently about Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises.
Leonardo DiCaprio’s favorite Nolan film, The Dark Knight, reflects his admiration for stories exploring heroism and moral complexity, contrasting his advice to avoid superhero roles for artistic reasons.
