Possible Revival of The Inbetweeners
There is growing speculation about the potential return of the UK sitcom The Inbetweeners, possibly in film format, with the original cast involved.
Joe Thomas, who played Simon, revealed that discussions have taken place about reviving the show, and the cast would be interested if the right idea comes along.
- The series originally ran on E4 between 2008 and 2010.
- Two films were released in 2011 and 2014.
Thomas indicated that a third movie seems more likely than a new TV series, given the passage of time and the age of the characters.
Some of the ideas floated include seeing what the characters get up to as adults! — perhaps a stag do, or reconnecting through a five-a-side football team.
However, Simon Bird, who played Will, has stated that there are no prospects of a reunion at present.
