Tracking Fall-Like Temperatures in Houston—But for How Long?

Brittany Begley, Meteorologist / Reporter

Temperatures are dropping quickly tonight, creating a true fall atmosphere. Clear skies and low humidity allow for an efficient cool down, with lows reaching into the upper 40s for some areas.

Morning and Afternoon Forecast

Expect a chilly morning with temperatures starting in the lower 50s accompanied by sunny skies. By the afternoon, highs will climb near 80 degrees.

Midweek and Beyond

By Wednesday, southeasterly winds will increase, raising temperatures and humidity slightly. Morning fog is possible on Thursday and Friday, with a slight chance of rain creeping in on Sunday as a weak front passes through.

The week starts off in the 70s, warming to the 80s by midweek. Temperatures will remain in the 80s until the minor chance of rain and cooler air arrives Sunday, dropping them back into the 70s.
