Antonin Tron Named Balmain's New Creative Director

Balmain has appointed Antonin Tron as its new creative director, following Olivier Rousteing's departure. Tron, known for his Atlein label launched in 2016, will focus exclusively on Balmain and present his debut collection for the brand in March 2026.

Career and Upcoming Debut

The French designer gained international attention with Atlein and most recently showcased his fall 2025 collection in Paris. His first lineup for Balmain is set for the fall 2026 fashion season.

“I wish to express my gratitude to Olivier Rousteing for building Balmain into the global brand it is today,” Tron said in a WWD statement.

Rousteing concluded a celebrated 14-year tenure earlier this month, marking one of the longest recent leaderships in fashion.
