Sidcup Golf Centre Investigates Incident Injuring Boy
A wall collapsed at Sidcup Family Golf on Sidcup Bypass on Sunday, November 9, at 5:45 pm, seriously injuring a five-year-old boy who is now fighting for his life. A six-year-old girl was also hurt but has since been discharged from the hospital.
Both children were attending a birthday party at the venue when the collapse occurred.
“Our first priority was ensuring they received immediate medical attention,” a club spokesperson said. “We are cooperating fully with emergency services and investigating what happened. Our thoughts are entirely with the child and their family at this time.”
An eyewitness told News Shopper that the centre's staff responded promptly and effectively, with one possibly saving the boy's life. The boy sustained a head injury.
“There were loads of [police] at Family Golf following the incident,” another source said.
