Сalvation Army's Winter Gear Drive
The Salvation Army in Rochester collected around 1,000 winter items during the "More than a Coat" drive.
Donations were accepted at the Salvation Army Corps Community Center, located at 20 1st Ave.
“Of course, a winter coat is a very basic need, but those are the two things we run out of every year,”
Community engagement director Rebecca Snapp estimated that over 500 children’s coats were donated.
- Coats, hats, and gloves were donated.
- Donations were accepted until 3 p.m.
- Distribution is scheduled for people in need on Wednesday and Thursday.
