Climate Fund Managers has held a final close on $1.06 billion for its Climate Investor II Fund.
The fund received commitments from various investors, including DFIs, multilateral finance institutions, public sector banks, and institutional investors such as the Royal County of Berkshire Pension Fund.
CI2 was launched in 2019 in partnership with the European Commission and the Dutch Fund for Climate and Development, and has a strategy of investing in water, waste, and ocean infrastructure in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
Climate Fund Managers previously structured the $1.6bn Galapagos debt-for-nature swap, in which CI2 was an investor.
