We recently informed you about an issue with Microsoft Edge, where some users' passwords were visible on screen when logging into University systems.
Usually, password details are starred out as you type to avoid potential security issues. Microsoft has now resolved the issue with their software, ensuring that Microsoft Edge no longer shows passwords while logging in.
However, these passwords may still be visible in your settings. To maintain system security, we ask all staff and students to check their Microsoft Edge settings and ensure that passwords are not showing in the 'Personal info' settings, where they may be vulnerable.
