This month, HDBuzz is attending the first Huntington’s Disease (HD) Clinical Research Congress in Nashville, Tennessee, where hundreds of scientists, doctors, and industry representatives have gathered to discuss HD clinical research and care.
The conference, organized by the Huntington Study Group (HSG) and CHDI Foundation, features a range of topics, including the HD Community Research Day, which focuses on issues relevant to families.
The first session was an interview-style panel aimed at demystifying clinical trials, covering aspects such as protocols, endpoints, participation experiences, and questions to ask.
The goal of the panel was to explain elements of a study and the experience of participation.
