A recent study by the Family Research Council and the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University found that 68% of adults who attend Christian worship at least monthly believe marriage is between one man and one woman.
However, only 46% defined "family" in corresponding terms of a husband, wife, their children, and relatives.
The survey, "Social Issues and Worldview," was conducted in July among 1,003 churchgoing adults to explore their beliefs on social topics and family life.
