A fire broke out at a derelict building in Newquay at around 3:18am, with firefighters still tackling the blaze.
The A3058 Narrowcliff remains closed in both directions from Lusty Glaze Road to Ulalia Road due to the ongoing incident.
A recent update from Cornwall Fire & Rescue at 6:25am stated:
Good progress is being made as firefighters work to extinguish the fire.
The fire is reportedly at the Narrowcliff Hotel, which was previously destroyed in a blaze in July, resulting in a murder investigation after a man in his 30s was found deceased at the scene.

The body of a man in his 30s was found deceased in the property. His next of kin have been informed. The cause of the fire is believed to be suspicious, and enquiries are ongoing to establish the surrounding circumstances.
