Disqualification of Trainee Lawyer
A trainee property lawyer, Husna Khan, 30, has been disqualified from working for law firms after helping her fugitive brother evade prosecution for murder.
Ms Khan and her sister, Farah, 29, were jailed for two years and six months in 2023 for assisting an offender in a murder case.
- Husna Khan worked as a trainee property lawyer at ONP's remortgage department from April 8 to August 22, 2024.
- Her employer was unaware of her arrest and conviction until August 2024.
Her brother, Khayam Khurshid, was convicted of murder and sentenced to 27 years in jail.
The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) published a notice regarding Ms Khan's disqualification.
