Gen V Creator Eric Kripke Discusses Season 2 Twist
Eric Kripke, co-creator and executive producer of Gen V, has revealed the significance of the Episode 7 twist, where Dr. Thomas Godolkin is exposed as the true identity of Cipher.
Dr. Godolkin has been masking himself as Godolkin University dean Cipher this entire time.
This twist shows that Dr. Godolkin's plan was to train Marie to become strong enough to obtain the power of healing and/or resurrection. After achieving his goal, Dr. Godolkin removes himself from his host, Cipher, whose real name is Doug Brightbill.
- Dr. Godolkin tricks Marie into bringing him back to his original form.
- Cate and Jordan carry a passed out Marie, who is completely drained from restoring Dr. Godolkin.
