Closing Arguments in Infant Death Case
Persia Nelson, a Schenectady woman, is accused of leaving her 11-month-old daughter, Halo Branton, down an 8-foot drainage pipe in a utility shed on the General Electric campus in March 2024.
Nelson is charged with second-degree murder, manslaughter, and endangering the welfare of a child in connection to the death.
Persia Nelson's attorney, Mark Sacco, argued that his client was drunk, tired, and cold, and did everything she could to save her baby.
