Wood River Man Charged with Sexual Assault of Minor Girl
A 22-year-old Wood River man, Mauricio Domingo Mendez, has been charged with first-degree sexual assault of a minor girl in Hall County Court.
According to an arrest affidavit, a juvenile girl reported to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office on September 25 that she was sexually assaulted by Mendez. The girl stated that she and Mendez met online and had a sexual relationship for approximately 14 months.
An arrest warrant for Mendez was issued on Wednesday.
