Lovers of literature gathered to listen to local writers share their work, creating a silent and captivating atmosphere.
The Visiting Writers Series, held at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, celebrated creative writing with three University of Idaho professors: Michael McGriff, Thomas Dai, and Alexandra Teague.
The event featured readings from the professors' published books and poetry, followed by a Q&A session on writing tips and their work.
Dai, an essayist and assistant professor at UI, read passages from his new book, "Say My Name but Say It Slow," at the event.
