Marine Communications Experts Compete in Thunderstruck
Marine communication experts participated in Thunderstruck, a first-of-its-kind contest of field radio and combat skills.
A team of four Marines from the headquarters regiment of 1st Marine Logistics Group won the competition, emerging from among 15 squads.
The Thunderstruck Communications Team Competition
was hosted by 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, testing teams of Marines that run radios, networks, and communications gear in the field.
The competition was run by Marine Wing Communication Squadron 38, led by Lt.
