Travelers at several airports in the U.S. and Canada were subjected to hacked political rants over the intercom systems instead of boarding calls.
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy stated that an investigation is underway after multiple airport intercom systems were breached, including one in Pennsylvania.
"This is absolutely unacceptable and understandably scared travelers,"
Duffy said. A video posted on social media showed an announcement at Harrisburg International Airport in Pennsylvania that included the phrase "free Palestine" and derogatory remarks about President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
