Scotland's Next Government Must Act on Disability Rights
A new manifesto from Inclusion Scotland, a national disabled people's organisation, calls for the next Scottish government to listen to disabled people and take action to ensure systemic change to realise their rights.
Disabled people and their organisations have been "deprioritised, underfunded and disregarded for too long"
The manifesto, developed through workshops with disabled people across Scotland, focuses on seven key areas:
- Independent living
- Adequate standard of living
- Co-production
- Education and employment
- Climate justice for disabled people
- Accessible communities
- Human rights
