Conner Mantz earned USATF Athlete of the Week honors after setting a new American record in the men's marathon.
Mantz finished fourth in the Chicago Marathon with a time of 2:04:43, breaking the ratified American record of 2:05:38 set by Khalid Khannouchi 23 years ago.
His time also bettered the all-conditions American record of 2:04:58 set by Ryan Hall at Boston in 2011.
Other notable performances include Brittany Brown winning the 100 in 10.99 and 200 in a lifetime best of 21.89 at the Athlos NYC meet.
