EA has announced that Battlefield 6 has sold over 7 million copies in its first week, marking the biggest launch in the franchise's history.
According to a press release, the game achieved "all-time highs for franchise sales" within the first three days of launch, with 172 million matches played online during that weekend.
Byron Beede, general manager of the Battlefield franchise, stated that this is "just the beginning" for the game, with the first season set to start in twelve days.
Executive VP Vince Zampella expressed his "sincere gratitude" to fans and looks forward to what's to come "in the weeks ahead".
