Gov. Greg Abbott Deploys Texas National Guard Ahead of Protest
Governor Greg Abbott announced the deployment of the Texas Department of Public Safety and National Guard in anticipation of the "No Kings" Protest on Saturday.
“Violence and destruction will never be tolerated in Texas,”
Abbott said in a news release, directing the deployment of necessary law enforcement officials and resources to ensure the safety of Austin residents.
