Early voting for municipal elections in Pitt County has begun, with voters from across the county casting their ballots.

The main early voting site, located at the Agricultural Center at 403 Government Circle, saw a turnout of voters from Greenville, Farmville, and Ayden. Additional early voting sites in Pitt County are set to open on October 27th.

"The local is more important because it affects you now," said Greenville voter Robert Evans. "The federal affects you down the road a piece, but your government, you’re interfacing with them constantly."

Some voters, such as John Tipton from Winterville, faced challenges in reaching the main voting site due to navigation through downtown Greenville.
